Youth Hostels with Communal Showers

I’m staying there on January too, around 20th

I leave on the 18th!

That's shit about the 7th floor showers, really sad that they have gone down that route. I guess the 3rd floor won't be open for much longer either. All that expense for something which is quite alien in Germany. Anyone who wanted a private shower had the option of booking an en-suite!

I hope I'm on the 3rd floor, but I guess it's easy to go down to the 3rd anyway.

I had a long shower this morning, even shaved naked at the mirror. Later shaved my balls in the showers. Nobody cared haha

Was it busy? One good thing about Berlin is it's year round appeal so I have found visits at all times to be quire busy, winter is notably quiet though.

Both times I've been to one80 in winter and summer it's been fairly packed so I'm hopeful for January.

I imagine word will get out amongst the long term people on level 3 that level 7 now has cubicles with curtains.

Strangely they installed dividers with curtains on the 7th floor. On 3rd floor the showers are still open. Let's hope it will stay like this ..
It’s funny because I stayed there for the first time a a couple months ago and was showering on the 7th floor with some guys who seemed really shy. I thought, “I’m glad I get to experience this because I bet they’ll get rid of these communal showers and change to dividers at some point since people our age (20s/30s) are getting more and more shy about nudity. I guess I jinxed it.

Thats what happens when you have all these creepy out of shape old guys staying in youth hostels. Makes it harder for most younger and curious guys to relax.

I saw many times naked guys walked from dorm to toilet/bath or shower - in Berlin in Gay Hostel (Motzstr.) or My-Gay Hostel (Nollendorfplatz). Of course I walked nude too. It was great pleasure...!!!
Oh wow, any more details about the time you stayed there? Always wanted to stay there

I'm staying in the Chao hostel in Bangkok. Not only is it a great place to stay (with a terrific location and luxuriously large rooms), but I've already had a super-hot hook up with one of my dormmates. I went to use the bathroom before going to bed last night, and one of my dormmates was standing by one of the sinks totally naked. I stared a bit at him in the dim light, and he noticed my interest and placed his dick on the sink. I took off my shorts to show I was interested too. And then one thing led to another and we started making out. And the room is actually big enough that there are plenty of areas to hook up without disturbing your other dormmates. (Although one of our other dormmates who was gay saw us, and kept lookout for us, in exchange for sucking my cock a bit). We finished off in the ensuite shower, blowing our hot loads on each other's bodies and then washing each other clean. Like I said, a very hot scene! I'm looking forward to the rest of my stay!

I'll be at:
Hostel Colours, Milano from 13 to 15 of January
and
Roma Scout Centre from 17 to 19 of January.
Both male rooms, hopefully will meet some of you guys there!
Thanks for adding this update. I like that the Dublin International Hostel (YHA) has all male dorms. I'll be there next week, so I hope something fun happens!

How was YHA Dublin? I'm debating between YHA Dublin and Isaac's for a May visit. I've read the top floor of Isaac's has the peephole and the skylight that reflects, BUT also the train noise and the lack of air in the rooms. For YHA Dublin, I've read about the broken showers, but they are communal with walls and filmsy curtains.

Any thoughts for those who have been to Dublin?
I'm also thinking of doing some overnight trips around Ireland, maybe Cork or Galway, but open to suggestions for fun hostels.
