I wanted to see the lights in action!
Great build I’m planning g on getting a 16 48 and if I need to diy the build this will be my guide thanks Joel!
Looks good but I would have hinged the front hatch the other way. Easier to get into and won't catch air when driving down the road.
@@jeffnearing719 great idea! I might flip it!
That looks really good Joel. I have a 14’ lowe. Was plannin on do the same thing to mine except i wanted to buy a mud motor kit with the 15hp predator motor from harbor freight. Then acquired a 16’ lill bass boat and decided to dump my john boat money into it so my project is on hold for now. Thanks for sharing ur process. IDEAS!!!! Cant wait to see ur big kansas bruiser draped over the front of it this yr bro.
This looks pretty awesome
Got a link for those specific lights? Also curious how they have held up? Did they produce enough illumination in the water to bow fish? Also thinking of using them for winter gigging in shallow water do you think it would work for that as well?
Just pay attention to where the treated lumber touches the aluminum. If the treated wood was treated using copper it will react to the lumber. if you notice it reacting you can use a rubber film to protect it.
Agreed! I coated the whole wood frame with epoxy resin so it wouldn’t have direct contact and weather seal it even better
A good way to cut foam is to use a jig saw and turn the blade around
Thanks you the video and instructions. I will be using this as a blueprint for my 14x42 Alumacraft I just picked up for $500.
Good stuff, amigo.
I love how cool and different accents are. I'm from the South originally and live in Ohio so I get made fun of a lot. I get a kick every time I hear yo say measured!
Can you post a link for the lights I’d like to try them out on my boat
thats nice
Like the solar light idea, just park boat in the sunlight and evening charged.
Are they motion activated to keep 2 and 4 legged varmints out of boat. LOL
What brand of lights did you use?
Nice build man
I use mine for public deer hunting too and it's amazing
What were all the kinds of screws you used? I'm planning on building my 10ft jon boat a deck tomorrow!?
@@brysongriffin8125 I used coated deck screws!
Great job on going with the carpet cuz that's what you can get up there and wash all the blood and everything off
I bought those same paddles and broke them the first time we got stuck and needed them.. Don't go hulk mode on them ;)
Great video though, I am getting ready to redo my boat interior this winter and will definitely be stealing some ideas.
Did you guys see the deer in the background?!
Man U talk too much… cmon
