Thank you for making this viedo! I know everyone loves "LIVES' to me they are distracting - especially when the host of the show starts talking to people - Drives me crazy. I also like that you are not trying to sell -- Use what you have you valadate me and I am sure there are others out there. You are one of the BEST teachers/instructors on RUclips.
The shortened replays of livestreams that Jennifer edits for this channel are worth watching. No chitchat, just crafting. Most of the recent lives have a shortened replay version.
Some, like me, believe Jennifer is THE best. 😁❤️
You are so right. Natasha Foote is another creator who doesn’t talk to people and encourages to use what you have and gives examples of different things you can use! So just a tip ☺️
@@dianelikestosewShe is the GOAT. 🐐
Yes I agree wholeheartedly.i usually don’t have time to sit and listen to chit chat.i do enjoy it but rarely have the time. Thanks JM.
Thanks, Jennifer! I do find these kinds of videos helpful. There are so many products, and only so much $$$. I appreciate how you put these products through their paces and only show the best! ❤
I have a ton of work, many assignments but a record Jennifer video is out! Have to watch it! Thanks Jennifer. Love watching AND listening to you.
DIITTO!
Ditto here too.
Yay! Thank you!
You are not kidding about how busy this time of year is for senior parents. My daughter graduated from college, with her senior events starting in April, and my son graduates from high school this weekend. His senior events have been nonstop since his sister's college graduation. To add to the chaos, we had that major storm here in Houston the night before his prom. Some things got shifted, but prom happened, and other senior events will resume tomorrow. So grateful I got all the graduation cards for their friends done in advance, using many of the tools you listed here. Best of luck to your son!
Finding the tools that are useful to you is 100% spot on!! And they don't have to be premium supplies. I use a spray bottle I found at Dollar General for $1 for my rubbing alcohol to clean stencils, and it works perfectly. I found blending brushes on Amazon that work for me. I can't afford specialty scissors, but I found some spring assist scissors in the sewing department at WM. They work for me. I make amazing cards on my budget. I've never had a negative response to one I have sent. Crafting to me is therapeutic. However, when I 1st started, I quickly found myself stressing about having the best of the best tools and supplies that were recommended, and it quickly became overwhelming, expensive, and no fun. My point is, please, don't go broke on supplies and think you need everything. Do research on alternative options as well.
Yes! You don't have to have it all
I purchased the Waffle Flower 6.5" x 8.5" Grip Mat on your recommendation, Jennifer. It's an investiment that's paid for itself many times over. I house it in my misti, but it's simple to move to my glass mat. I don't have to buy sticky mats that have lost their stickiness, or use adhesive to temporarily hold cardstock in place. Thank you for your time and intent to vet new products for us. (I appreciate your no-pressure approach, as well). Spending time watching your videos is perhaps my best investment! 😃
Oh! That mat! Magnets and those grid lines for cards! Love that!!!
Fantastic Jennifer. I love this new style of video with you. Jam packed with techniques and fresh ideas. Simply one best out there, you are! ❤
Such beautiful kits!❤
I recently purchased the large altenew mat and can’t wait for it to arrive. I’ve been looking for the right large-sized blending brushes and I think the Soellbinder ones will be perfect, so they are now on the way. I love the fold of your card, and when my mat and brushes arrive, I’m going to bust out my stencils and make a card using this technique. I have several lovely stencil sets and I’ve never used them. Today is my last day for this school year as a substitute (I retired from teaching 4 years ago), so I’m excited to spend more time crafting in June and July. Happy summer!
Thank you for sharing all these new tools and techniques! Once again, fantastic video! 💜💜💜
You are so welcome!
Thank you for providing so many different video formats. I love your lives, your Craft & Connects. This video was excellent as it truly shows how these products are used on a daily basis! ❤️
My son is graduating too and it’s CRAZY! The Big Show is Thursday night and the Grand Finale is his graduation party Sat. So much to do!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing. Always nice to see other items in use, and how they work before buying.
Great tips. I love my large paperweight - its great. I used to just use the back of my misti. all the tools are great and love the card.
Fantastic video. I always love your videos where you share crafting products that work great for you. Thank you for all your videos, they really help me and make my crafting so much fun. You really are the best. ❤
Jennifer, I've said it before, "You Amaze Me" with all your tips and tricks!!!!! Thank you,
My daughter's prom was May 11th. Graduation was the 18th. My preschool's graduation/spring program was the 22nd, with the last day the 23rd. Definitely a busy time of year. On top of all that, I was diagnosed with strep throat on the 20th. Ack!
Congratulations to your son!
What a terrific card and video! Thank you!
Another wonderful video
So many cool tools to help make crafting easier! Wish I could get them all! lol
Those Spellbinders brushes are AMAZING! I had struggled with ink blending, using all manner of tools - these are the first ones that allow ME to put down a really light and even application. Thank you also for the Altenew sticky matt information: that the grid makes them less „clingy“ is also something which appeals: I have found that having to wrestle with the (other) sticky matts everytime I want to use them is something that makes me reluctant to do so, even though I LOVE how they work holding stencils and die cuts while I put down ink. Thank you for your thorough and well reflected information, it is SO helpful. Kind regards from Germany, Nicola
I love working on glass mats. When I set up my craft workspace I bought a desk that had a glass top so I have a huge workspace. It's not magnetic but with the advent of the newer sticky mats, I don't need to use magnets to hold my paper. Great video, Jennifer.
Thank you for great card, video, and all the wonderful items that you shared with us. It is so very apparent just how much you care about the crafting community and your contribution to it! I am so happy to see you doing live streams now - your confidence has grown so much, it seems to be comfortable to you - you are amazing! I appreciate you sharing the “mistakes“ - I really think it helps me and others who fight being a perfectionist! Thanks for all you do. ❤❤❤
Jennifer, I love your Graduation card. I also love the first Hugs shaped card you showed at the beginning of this video. Are you going to do a tutorial? What dies did you use? Love 🥰😍🤩
Yes, I am. Stay tuned
Yes I am. Soon
Loved this video! Very good job at showing the do’s and don’ts of each step in making the card. Plus little “tips” of of how you can do different “fix its” for problems you might in counter with tools.
Thank you Jennifer
Thanks for your video. Seems like we are overwhelmed every day with new product and it is easy to overspend. I know I can count on tools you recommend.
You are so welcome!
❤ I absolutely love this card and your color choices! Thank you, Jennifer!!!
Craft on!
You are so welcome!
Great video, Jennifer! ♥
You are brilliant and such a great teacher. Thank you for sharing your talent with us crafters. You make me feel like I can do so much more than I ever imagined ❤ Beautiful cards
Have a card swap this morning…wish I’d seen this first! 😂. I’m casing this card for next month…it’s stunning! Thanks JM! ❤
Your videos are always so helpful! I am new to the crafting community, obsessed with greeting cards. Aside from the surface info, another important topic - your nail polish! What is the color?! love love love it~!
If you look at the very bottom of the supply list, she lists the company and the color. Believe it or not, they are press-on nails!
I REALLY like the gray glass mat!
Thanks Jennifer! This was a great video. I use the needle cap with the pin through the top. Never clogs.
Once again, thank you SO much for all the work you put into your videos, Jennifer! Even if the topic isn't something that I think I need to watch, I've learned, through experience, that I do, indeed, need to watch every single one of your videos because, no matter WHAT the topic is, I always pick up at least half a dozen ideas that will definitely help to make me a better crafter. I just can't thank you enough for that ...
One quick question: I noticed that that adorable little Scout was flopping around a bit when you were die-cutting with it. I remember my first little Cuttlebug from way back when and it had super strong suction cups that engaged when you pushed the lever down ... does the Scout also have some way of gripping the work surface so it doesn't flop around when you're turning the handle?
It doesn't have anything on the bottom like that.
Wonderful tutorial. I’ve always loved this style card. And the wish list is amazing. I can start leaving hints now for Christmas!😂
Thanks Jennifer, I so appreciate all you do for us stampers.
You are so welcome!
Great card and lots of great ideas and tools. Thank you for sharing. 😊🤗
That is such a fun trifold card. Lovely to see all the tips and tricks and tools along the way too. Thank you Jennifer, you're always so generous with your knowledge and teaching xoxo
Thank you so much Jennifer for crafty tools video. You always give your honest opinion and you encourage us to make our own decisions. I love it!!
Thank You for all the info...........I like the little Spellbinder cutting tool. It's so cute and yet practical for us seniors. Easier to crank. pat
I love the groovy blooms stencil! What a great idea to use it for graduation cards
I think so too!
Beautiful card, Jennifer. Thank you so much for the additional, useful information on tools. Thanks, tons.
Such wonderful information and beautiful work
Love this card and the grey glass mat. I'm always so impressed with your creativity!
So glad!
Love this card technique thanks for sharing .. almost out of recovery from surgery will be doing this technique for sure !! Thank you ❤
Great video and was happy to see what tools you use. You do so much crafting sure that you've tried everything at least once and a good recommendation is always gold. Thanks so much.
Great video with lots of great information:) Tfs and God bless:)
So much good information and a clever card construction, too! You are truly the GOAT! Thanks!!
Love! Love! Love! Thank you Jennifer!
What a great card design. I love the colors on it. And yes, this video was very helpful to me.
Spellbinders large brushes are ordered. Their 9# sheers are on my wishlist. As are the new Tim Holtz mini recoil snips. Thank you for doing this video 👍😘
Love the style of the card! I think I have every tool you mentioned in this video expect for the mini scout. I still love my Altenew Blossom mini die cutting machine. Thank you so much for your time and talent. ❤💙
Best Helpful Video + an awesome Card!!!!!! U rock Jennfer, TY!!!!!
Thank you! Great video! So helpful to see how you use various tools. And what a beautiful card! 💕
I love this card technique!
I love this card design!
Thanks so much!
Love this. The recorded video is super slick and allows me to quickly get the key points. Thank you.
Thanks for this video especially with all the graduation activities you have going on. Love this card and the video is packed with great information. I need to make some retirement cards this weekend and I think this will be a great design!
I love this card design! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Fabulous!! Great use of the papers! Fabulous projects. Happily your newest subscriber. 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you! I’m curious what made you change your dividers? Your favorite color not available? That would be me! I’m driven by color. I think the folder idea was brilliant & not as time consuming to prep. Being a teacher maybe I’ve used the laminator too often🤷🏼♀️
It's so helpful to see your work flow..😊
I really like the grey background. The colors seem to be so much more vibrant. ❤
Wonderful tips!!
Thank for this great card idea! I’m always looking for ways to use my patterned paper!! 😀🩵
This is a fabutastic card. I love your color choices
your cutting ideas.
And I also apprciate you dhowing us all the "new" tools that you find helpful, but you also remind us that we don't have to have everything out in the ever expanding world of crafty merchandise.
What kind of temporary tape do you use. It looks like a runner tape, but I don't know if that is right. And even if it is, what brand do you prefer. I am having a difficult time finding a good one that works how I want it to.
I am not a card maker but I love your videos and watch all of them. I just love watching you ❤
Thanks so much 😊
This is such a helpful video - what a quick and easy way to make this type card without a ton of measuring. Thanks for the supply suggestions - I see a lot of shopping in my future.
Very helpful, thanks 💟
Thank you Jennifer. Jan from Australia 😊
Your videos are always so helpful and informative! Thank You for all you do for us crafters!
Wonderful card design. Thank you for the tips on the tools.
Loads of great info! Thank you!
Awesome video, thank you! Gorgeous card and so many useful ideas and tool recommendations - thank you for that too! xxx💖💖💖
I’m a sucker for tools. I just got the glass board in pink! Thanks for the code!!!
I saw conflicting reviews of using Tim's new mini snips for fussy cutting. I'm glad you verified that you thought they were great for it. I hate fussy cutting and actually call it cussy cutting BUT sometimes I can't get away from having to do it. I did at first totally reject wanting these recoil scissors as the ones I have don't work for me at all but I do know that Tim's products are high quality and well thought out for makers so I'm giving them a try. Great graduation card.
Love this video and everything you do - I've been following you for years! Is a video showing how you made that gorgeous layered die cut floral card you show in the beginning of the video and, if so, possibly share a link? Thanks Jennifer!
Can’t wait to watch!
Very helpful.
I can’t wait to get my Spellbinders scout!
I also started using a grip mat in my stamping platform; i use the smaller altenew mat. It has really improved my stamping results. I keep it in the stamping platform too.
Do you use the Altenew mat in a Misti? I have a 12x12 Misti and none of the Waffle Flower mats are big enough. Altenew makes the 9x12.
Beautiful!
Thanks for he review, Jennifer.
LOVED this....everything about it....will be getting(through your links) soo many helpful and enjoyable items ! I would so like to see how the HUGs cards was made...would you guide me as to how to watch the video...if possible... Thank you so much... LOVE your nails & polish.... would buy the color immediately...is that possible? 💜 Hope the Graduation event is truly a wonderful time and memory...for all. Thanks so much for all you do.
it is in description
The Spellbinder brushes, on the wishlist!
I love blending my own backgrounds!
YAY for the votes for the gray glass board. Did you get a new microphone too? You sounded 10 years younger on last week's LIVE and this video. :D (never a bad thing, right, LOL). Nice finished card. I like cascade cards! Made a double-cascade (they fit together) for my Christmas cards one year.
Excelente trabajo de Tarjetas!!
Podrian presentar los videos en españo?
Saludos!!!
I have the both of the mats you demonstrated. Mine seems to lose its stickiness. How do you clean yours? Do you use alcohol or water?
Love the card! I will definitely be making this fun fold! Thanks so much!!
When you talk about the length of scissors, are you talking about blade length or overall? I did notice that when you were showing the small ones, you specified a 2” blade.
Thanks for showing and sharing.
It refers to the blade length
Do you have a video for the HUGS card you showed? It’s beautiful.
Not yet but there will be soon.
Hi. Beautiful Concord & 9th Primrose Garden card. Do you have a video on it. TFS
Not yet! But I will.
This video was jam packed of all things great! Now, let’s talk about that HUGS card made of flowers you used in the beginning of the video. Where is the link to that card tutorial because I am OBSESSED
There is no link but there will be a video soon.
Hello Jennifer, I just found your channel and I love what you’re doing. Do you have a video that shows how to get started creating cards like this? What tools I would need, where to buy products, and what equipment I would need. If so, would you please send me a link to the video. thank you
Welcome! If you watch the video I talk about the products I used and how to make this card.
Great tips Jennifer..one thing I noticed was the mini die cutting machine had some movement..could you keep it still by using one of your sticky mats underneath..I have Arthritic hands & have trouble with things moving....hence don't have a mini die machine...?? ❤❤
That might help a bit, though I haven't tried it. Anna Griffin makes a mini Empress that is electric that might be perfect for you.
I have a glass mat, but it’s not magnetic, I even tried to magnetize the back of it myself, but it didn’t work! 😂 I want one of these! I have been so so very good and have not bought any crafting supplies since December!!! 😵💫 And yes, I’m going crazy crazy!
Jennifer; don't you have a more involved video showing the waffle flower pad in your Misty.
Love the older card you used for demonstration. Did you record making it? I could not find the video.
Are you referring to the floral card? I have not make a video of that card but I will be as many have asked about it.
My bottle of Gina K glue turned clumpy, and I could not dispence more into my fine-tip bottle. I returned to Tombow liquid adhesive.
Great video! QUESTION: Where would I find your latest video on organization, dies in particular? I’m looking for links to containers to hold the die pouches. TIA!
www.jennifermcguireink.com/2018/01/mfct-organization.html. This is an older video but I still do it this way
@@jennifermcguireink Thank you for your reply. I cannot tell you how many hours I’ve spent on the internet trying to find the best system. At last I ordered a bin two days ago, it’s being delivered today, AND it’s the one you suggested! I can’t wait! Thank you for sharing your organization skills and your creativity. You are a blessing in the lives of so many.
