AN is not all pop. Young Akina was a lot of pop. Grown Akina does a variety of music from folk to ballads to R&B. She is a Japanese treasure!
Literally my fav artist in recent years! her discography in the 80s is amazing and she is very versatile.
It's cool to see you listen to her music, she's my favortie artist yet it seems like almost no one knows her music in the US. I love this song because it is a darastic difference to the rest of her music which is usually very powerful rock pop kind of style. She is considered the diva of 80s Japan. Her music doesn't really fall under "City Pop" but more "Kayokyoku" which is just 80s J-Pop.

@@cocoachikahirai4971 it was actually one of my first Akina songs unbeknownst to me…I heard it in one of those city pop playlist and I loved it but I was more into the usual suspects like Anri, Junko Ohashi, Miki Matsubara, and Tatsuro Yamashita

This is definitely one of my favourite Akina song.
Akina has a very mellow and beautiful vocal especially with this style of slow pace medley. It is her forte IMO. Completely mesmerising!
